Hey there! Summer 2012 class sessions start soon, which means that Surf UCF has some stuff planned! Whether you’ve been with the club for a while now or interested in checking us out, we have events coming up that will keep your summer fun and interesting! We will keep you updated!

Awesome Weekend

Whew, what an eventful weekend! We spent both days on the beach with our Riders and had a blast! Our fundraiser contest went very well and everyone had a great time. We also had a NSSA contest on Sunday where we had our best placing all year. Our “A” team placed 2nd, with Will Warren placing 2nd and Kyle Gesualdi placing 5th in the College Mens Finals. Amy Nichol placed 1st, Julie Catalano 2nd and Stephanie Villavicencio 3rd in the College Womens Finals! Great job holding it down for the team everyone! Stay tuned for some more updates!

Past Meeting

We’d like to thank Rider Sandals for going beyond what we expected at our last meeting where they gave out 2 pairs of sandals and 2 shirts to everyone there! If you missed it but signed up on the size sheet, sorry. We are postponing the fundraiser surf contest scheduled for tomorrow to March 17th due to lack of waves. Hopefully there will be waves next time. Next Tuesday there is no meeting, instead we are meeting in the USS Catalyst parking lot and carpool/bus to Fantasy Surf for some flowboarding. All is free for members.

Hey everyone! Welcome back from winter break. We hope it was nice and relaxing! Congrats to our A team placing 3rd in last Sunday’s contest. We have a couple things coming up. Flowboarding, tarp surfing, and our very own surf contest fundraiser. We also got a new sponsor, Rider Sandal Company. We are receiving a bunch of sandals and shirts. Let us know at a meeting your sizes. Stay tuned for more information!

Chariot Race and Meeting

Hello everyone! Hopefully you had a chance to come out last night and represent UCF Surf in the Red Bull Chariot Race in Catalyst’s parking lot. Our team built an awesome chariot called “Free Mustache Ride Machine” and won the Judges Award for creativity. Good times! We will be having a meeting on Tuesday, November 8th in BA119 at 9:00pm. Hope to see you all there! One last thing, all team riders must come to the beach cleanup on Saturday, November 12th and contest is on that Sunday.

Hey guys! We are having a meeting tonight, BA 119 at 9pm. We are going to talk about upcoming events including Typhoon Lagoon! A special thanks to everyone who donated a pair of jeans to Volcom’s Give Jeans a Chance! We ended up collecting 60 pairs of jeans!!! Great job guys! We’ll see you later!

We are having a meeting tonight to hand out shirts, discuss upcoming events, and ask your input on a few others. We are also participating in Volcom’s Give Jeans a Chance. Bring in old jeans or sweaters tonight or to next weeks meeting for a spot in a give away of some product! See ya!

Hey everyone! Don’t forget about our Surf Team tryouts this Sunday at Bethune Beach. Check out our Facebook page for details. We are having our weekly meeting on Tuesday at Brooklyn Pizza at 9pm. You must be a member and we will be checking to see if you are registered on knight sync. Just a reminder, SURFBOARD MEDIC hooks it up for our club members so keep him in mind when you damage your board. I just got my board back and Adam does incredible work!
